USRA Goal & Vision

USRA was designed to support the local driver and his local track. Racing is a costly sport and has become even more increasingly expensive. Race tracks have grown apart from their rules and from their vision. USRA has been put in place to unify the rules and to create 1 vision. USRA will reward and recognize the local driver for their time and efforts. It will also help tracks to allow other drivers to compete at their track for any special events.

USRA is supported by 4 race tracks and will look to have 1 overall champion. A driver can compete at any of the 4 tracks to receive their points. USRA will take the best 20 races of each competing driver. This gives drivers an opportunity to erase a bad night. USRA will also have a competition between the 4 tracks for a shoot out champion. This will give drivers 2 different opportunities to win a championship.

USRA has 2 divisions under the association - Thunder Bomber and FWD. Thunder Bomber is a V8 class that has a stock 8 cylinder engine with a stock car that allows certain racing chassis parts. FWD is a 4 cylinder car that has grown to be very popular and has had huge support and success. Both of the classes are affordable and have high car counts.

USRA Announces Bonus Race Program

USRA will have between four to six bonus races during the 2017 race season. This will be a separate points deal. These races will each pay $1,000 to win or more and the top three in points between these races will pay $1,200, $500, and $300. This will be for both FWD and Thunder Bomber. We will announce these dates once they are nailed down. This is separate from the USRA weekly points deal. Thanks and stay tuned. You can contact Scott Childress or Marion Limbaugh to register.
